"You're gonna miss this...."

So after a lot of thought I decided to get a blog. So many exciting things have happened in my life in the past 2 years and it's sad to think I can't remember every exciting detail. As I begin this journey in the blogging world I look forward to being able to look back on these times in my life and someday share them with my future children or even grand children. After all, these moments in life only last for a short while until they are only memories left to be missed and wanted back. So here's to history in the making....This past weekend was wonderful. After having a fun filled week in kindergarten trying to keep my kiddos quiet during the CRCT testing, I was so ready for a relaxing weekend. I was told on Friday by my sweet boyfriend that a weekend full of surprises was headed my way. Friday night I was treated to a very yummy dinner at our favorite restaurant (Longhorns). It was so nice to finally get to spend quality time together since we both are always working or going in a million different directions. On Saturday we went to lunch together at my other favorite restaurant (Chili's) and just spent most of the day relaxing and hanging out. Saturday night we went to a couples shower for Barett's brother and soon to be sister-in-law. It was great to spend time with his family and some of our friends celebrating the soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Seth Pilcher. On Sunday we went to Stone Mountain. I have been wanting to climb stone Mountain for a while now so I was very excited with this surprise!! Wow am I out of shape, I don't remember it being so hard the last time I climbed it. I am blaming it on the extremely windy day and not that I am totally out of shape. After a few breaks up the mountain we finally made it to the top! It was so windy we nearly blew off the mountain (a bit of an exaggeration). We had a lot of fun together and I really loved being away from all the busyness life brings us. A chance to actually take a breath and walk hand in hand with the person who makes you smile was very refreshing. I was so sad when it was time to head home and the realization that the weekend was coming to an end hit me. I am so blessed that I have someone in my life who loves me and enjoys spending time with me. I will never forget this weekend and the happiness and relaxation it brought me. Days like these are few but very much needed.

Well it’s New Years Eve....this time last year Barett and I dropped Easton off at my parents house and went on a much needed date night. We had planned on using our gift cards we had gotten from Christmas to go see a movie at the new Ovation theatre in Snellville. When we got there we soon realized the movie was sold out and since it was New Year’s Eve we didn’t want to see a late movie because we wanted to get back home and spend it with Easton celebrating the new year as a family of 3. We ended up eating dinner and going to Gander Mountain to look around...this was one of our last real date nights together. 3+3=6

3 months as a family of 3 + 3 months as a family of 2 = Easton is now 6 months old. This is hard. Everyday it gets harder. I don't know who said it would get easier...but IT DOES NOT!! Its crazy where your mind goes when you have basically 20+ hours in the car to do nothing but think. It breaks my heart to know soon we will have spent more time without Barett than with him since Easton has been born. Today is also a happy day though. Easton is a happy, healthy, and perfect 6 month old!! I'm so glad that because of the love Barett and I had for one another we were blessed with our little miracle, Easton. I'm so thankful Barett got to be a daddy to Easton for the 3 months he did. I'm thankful for that time, even if it was very short. HOPE

I wish I could write and say that every day it gets a little easier.  I wish I could say that there has been at least 1 day where I have went all day without crying, but its just not that easy.  I have been told to be honest with my feelings and to be honest I'm not very good at that part.  I so badly want to say I'm okay and seriously mean it when others ask, but I often say I'm okay when I'm really dying on the inside. There is only 3 words that completely sum up how I'm feeling and its always I MISS BARETT so much (okay maybe there are 5 words).  When Barett and I decided on forever we meant it.  I remember during our pre-marriage counseling our preacher asking us both why we wanted to get married.  Our answers were about the same...."he/she completes me, and I cant imagine life without him/her."
